Room 21 | Private Bathroom, Queen Bed
B&Bs in San Francisco, CA
For a historic experience at our San Francisco bed and breakfast in the Mission District, you won’t want to miss a stay in Room 21. In the late 1800s, our Victorian mansion was home to San Francisco City Commissioner John English and his family and Room 21 was Mrs. English’s main reception parlor. Mrs. English would receive guests and play cards or piano in this room as well as visit the children accompanied by their nannies, discuss menus with the cook, and oversee the housekeeper’s duties.
Room 21 is now a grand Victorian master bedroom with sophisticated, period appropriate décor and an elegant Queen-sized feather bed. Designed for single or double occupancy, this second floor accommodation faces the front of the property, meaning it can pick up some street traffic noise, and lets in light through its sunny bay window. This room also features a private bath, decorative fireplace, writing desk, cable TV, and Wi-Fi.
