The San Francisco Castro District
Only eight city blocks due west of our Inn, the Castro district in San Francisco, once known as 'Eureka Valley', was a predominantly working class neighborhood. This beautiful hilly community has become home for many prominent LGBT businesses. The gentrification in the 70's and 80's of it's distinct Victorians attracts visitors from all over the world who enjoy the many unique shops and restaurants. The 'Village', as is known locally, is home of the famous Castro theater, the Castro Street Fair the first Sunday of October and numerous other popular events.
After exploring the Castro, come back to our San Francisco bed and breakfast inn and relax in our individually decorated rooms with antique furnishings. Learn about the other nearby neighborhoods in San Francisco.
